Co Tu people have inhabited in mountainous areas in Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue for a very long time. They live in Laos as well.

The two main colors in Co Tu cloth are red and black, referring to the sun and the earth. At the edge of cloths, geometric motifs are decorated along with. Motifs which are made from weaving beads into cloths are symbolized for nature, home-animals, daily life, etc.
